The focus is mainly on UK markets, which are expected to deliver the greatest return on investment for Ayrshire and Arran. There are a range of niche marketing activities that support the strategy.

Currently consumer marketing is undertaken by VisitScotland.

 

VisitScotland EXPO

Ayrshire & Arran Tourism in conjunction  with industry partners showcase and promote the region annually at VisitScotland Expo. This event attracts over 800 national and international buyers.

Tourism visits to Ayrshire & Arran in 2016 generated a total estimated economic impact of £473.62m, an increase of 3.7% on the previous year, and a gradual increase of 6.3% over the past seven years (
